EARTHDOG

On March 2, 1996, Robin Ormiston's Ch. Chidley Erik The Red, who completed his championship and AWTA CG titles by the age of two, qualified for Junior Earthdog, and thereby became the first Norfolk to earn an AKC earthdog title. He has since earned his Senior Earthdog title.

On June 9, 1996, Ch. Tylwyth's Sinful Night, owned by Robert and Henrietta Lachman and known to her friends as "Rosie," earned her Junior Earthdog title. She completed Senior Earthdog on June 14, 1997, and achieved Master Earthdog status on June 7, 1998, becoming the first Norfolk to reach the AKC ME level. Sue Ely's Ch. Reidmar Sweet Georgia Brown, ME, became the second Norfolk to achieve this title.

And Norfolks continue to make their marks in earthdog. Sue Ely's Sam Brown earned his ME and Mary Waters' Bonnie made her SE title on the same weekend in Martinsburg, WV. Meanwhile, Carl Schrader's Rosebud has also earned her SE as well as Novice and Jumpers with Weaves Agility titles.

Congratulations to Richard and Cheryl Reynolds on the accomplishment of Ch. Chidley Major G and to Sue Ely with Ollie. Both dogs earned their Master Earthdog titles at the National Earthdog Test held in New Jersey in October, 2000. Also, Domby's Bonnie Waters, CDX, owned by Mary Waters, earned her ME title on September 24th, 2000. She earned her four qualifying scores in six events this year.

Beth Kravets of Washington, DC, and her Tally Ho-ho-ho earned their Junior Earthdog title at the Finger Lakes KC Earthdog Test on July 21, 2001, at Newark Valley, NY. At the same trial, Deborah Pritchard and homebred Ch. Glenelg Grazie earned a Senior Earthdog title.
