Allerg or Intolerance ...

Food allergies are often confused with food intolerances. The difference is immunologic: A food allergy is a reaction by the immune system to a specific food, usually a protein such as beef, while a food intolerance is a chemical sensitivity to something in the diet, whether a specific ingredient, an additive or a preservative.
