New Drug Developed

For Treating Canine Cancer

 The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the first drug made specifically to treat canine cancer.  Palladia, made by Pfizer Animal Health, Inc., has been approved to treat canine cutaneous mast cell tumors.  Palladia works to kill tumor cells and cut off the supply of blood to the tumor.  While not without side effects, this drug offers considerable promise.
